Hi everyone!
We’re going to start the closed beta of the BC2CC Daemon soon. Currently we’re working hard on getting the last major issue sorted out before we start closed beta and stress testing.
I’m sure some of you are wondering what the advantage of using a daemon is, so let me clarify:
A Daemon is basicaly a command line version of the BC2CC tool. The program runs on the i3D.net dedicated servers and offers a lot of increased functionality compared to regular admin functionality. It’s still in development and features are constantly being added.
All settings saved in BC2CC will be permanently applied to your server, you will be able to add admin accounts, giving each user specific access to admin settings. Don’t want a new member to have ban priviliges but want him to be able to kick? Create his admin account and there you go! Ingame administrator settings no longer require the BC2CC tool to run anymore either!
The biggest improvement comes in the form of auto-admin. Since the tool monitors the chat and player progress 24/7 it allows us to monitor much more efficient for people breaking server rules, spawnkilling, profanity etc. It also allows for additional options such as mapvotes, kickvotes, killstreaks, top player, twitter integration etc.
So as you can see the daemon adds a lot of additional functionality that makes managing Bad Company 2 servers much much easier.
We are now accepting closed beta applications for the BC2CC Daemon. Apply by sending an email to beta@bc2cc.com with the following information:
Your name
Your Server IP
Your Servers gametracker link
Your email address
Your i3D.net forum account name
Your gameservers provider
We will pick a limited number of people for initial testing. Later we will increase the amount of people for stress testing and eventually everyone can sign up for the Daemon.

*First kill / blood
*game winning / last – kill
*awards announcements
x was awarded the gold star for ….
*Promotion announcements
*different class/weapon streaks.. ie
knifing spree (over x kills)
x is a great medic with ( x )20 revives
x is a landmine expert with (x )10 kills
endless possibilities ( if able to distinguish different classes / weapons ) in the streak
* able to enable / disable.. any / all streaks
*mute player x chat / spam for x min
*able to choose.. say or yell for announcments
Public player commands
* !contact admin ( contact admin area – me@i3d.net x fire = admin name )
* !server message ( able to put a server message/ link address )
* !server rules ( server rules list )
will this just be for i3d.net servers or also for other hosters (like multiplay.co.uk)?
This will work for all hosters.
i applied for the beta 2 weeks ago.
When will i hear if i can participate ?
Now that the patch is releasing, we can start getting the beta going (it wasn’t compatible with older server versions). Pretty busy around here but as soon as we can start it we will let you all know.
