Update 2.0.3

Posted by Ectholian at 12:59 am on September 6, 2010

Minor Update

Since the release of Server R21 we’ve updated the client to be compatible with it. Along with that we are glad to have fixed some bugs thanks to the feedback we got from our users. We also found some time to implement some nice little features.

New features

  • Added a popup changelog after every application update.  Stay informed on how BC2CC is changing to make the most out of your server.
  • Added Chat Moderation support for R21.  You must update your server to R21 in order for this feature to work.
  • Added parameter-support in the Console window. Now it is possible to use commands with parameters (i.e. punkBuster.pb_sv_command pb_sv_restart). Strings with spaces in it need to be surrounded by double quotes.
  • Added country flags to the player list.  Hover over the player to see the country name.
  • Added Twitter integration to tweet the winning team and ace player.  Configure these new features in your Server Details dialog.
  • Added confirmation dialogs for deleting individual or all servers.
  • Added a “Yell on player kick event” with custom phrases.  Configure this in your Server Details dialog.

Bugfixes

  • Teamkill options are now loaded correctly
  • Fixed the /!mt command issue with the player count
  • Fixed the ingame ban/kick/move commands to give the right response, instead of allways a success
  • Fixed the {amount} phrase in the end streak notification (it was always 0)
  • Fixed the crash at startup when the server is full
  • Fixed the ban command; round and timebans working now
  • Fixed the tickets displaying ‘Infinite’ bug
  • Fixed the tickets on screen not updating bug. Note: it is slightly slow to update to ensure it does not overload the server. We are working on improvements.

To get the update, as usual, just restart BC2CC and it will download the update.

  1. Hypeer says:

Good job and thank you! Keep up the good work.

  2. How to do the winning team tweet?
Is it something like this for example: {team} is the winner of this round! ?
Please answer as soon as possible :)

    P.S.
I just loooooove this new update, thank you for it, and now we just need to hope the daemon comes out soon :D

  3. Ectholian says:

    You can use something like:
    {team} has won round {round} on {map}

  4. Ok, and you dont have to specify the winning team or something?
It just knows its the winning team when you put {team}?

  5. GEN3RIC says:

Any “Phrase” textbox includes the option to insert the variables by using the context menu (right click). You will notice they all support shortcut commands. :)

  6. Ectholian says:

Yes, {team} refers to the winning team

  7. Pannekoek says:

what about that new function -Chat Moderation- I dont understand it
    can someone help me please..

  8. Ectholian says:

You can put players on mute with it (add players as muted to the list), or completely mute the server (server moderation: moderated) and allow a couple of players to chat (add them as voice to the list). These are server-features which should be described in the server admin docs which you can find on the internet (look for the R21 ones).

  9. The Twitter function doesn’t work for me, every time the round ends, an error pops up.
Next time I get it, I will post it here.

  10. Exception of Type “System.InvalidOperationException”

    Message: Sequence contains no elements

    Source: System.Core

That’s the error I’ve been talking about in my former post, hope you guys can use this.

  11. Ectholian says:

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve added it to the issue tracker: http://www.bc2cc.com/issuetracker/bugs/?issue_id=53 and we’ll look into it.

  12. Didn’t really know where to post this, and for some reason I can’t open the FAQ on this website, so I’m gonna put it in here.
Why is the auto-balance only working (partially) when you have BC2CC running, and does it completely stop working when you shut down BC2CC?

  13. Ectholian says:

FAQ is now called WIKI :)

As far as I know, the autobalance is a serverside thing so I suppose it should work wether BC2CC is running or not, but I’ll check that with the guys who know better :)

  14. Just a little sidequestion, where to find the AutoBalance option in the server files on the provider’s Game Panel?

  15. Ectholian says:

depends on server provider :) or you have to put it in the setting in the config file.

  16. Ok, a found the config file, nothing about autobalance in there, don’t know what to put in there to get it working as well, well, gotta go now, stupid homework… :(
    Cya guys tomorrow :)

    Lol its 19:32 here ^^

  17. Ah, found the file for autobalance, its working now :)

  18. I’ve been trying to get the Punkbuster screenshots to work, but obviously it didn’t, and when I disabled it again it gave me this message.
Hope you guys can use this…
